Rampart (Fix-Up)

Not so much a custom as it is a fix-up, I like to have functional accessories and gear on my figures when possible. And being we only saw Rampart without his head gear once in the DiC cartoon series (yes, I actually checked), he's never really been seen aside from that without his head gear.

Formula:

Hat: Custom cast from AVAC'S Lab
Head: Marauder Task Force
Everything else: FSS Rampart

Paints used: Citadel, Model Master. Netting texture created with a Micron .005 pen.

Thanks for looking.

Skystriker (Tiger Force)

First released in 1988 as part of the Tiger Force sub-team, Skystriker was a "Frankenfigure", meaning he used existing parts from 2 other figures to create a new one (Wild Weasel and Ripcord, respectively). When he was released again in 2015 as part of the convention set, he was, once again a "Frankenfigure", this time made up of parts from Tripwire, Snow Job, and Sgt. Airborne, and looked even less like his original incarnation. What I did here was try to get him to look closer to his first design, and added the removable helmet which the newer version lacked. Tiger stripes created with the use of a Micron .005 pen.

Formula:

Head: Duke v38
Body: Wild Weasel v6
Helmet: Custom cast from AVAC'S Lab
Pistol: Fodder bag

Paints used: Citadel, Model Master

Thanks for looking.

Sgt. Misha Zubenkov (Oktober Guard)

Yet another one of my favorite Oktober Guard characters that only had one figure produced, Sgt. Misha Zubenkov was originally released in 2006 by Hasbro, and only available as an online exclusive in a comic book 3-pack. When it came time for Hasbro to decide on characters for their 2012 Oktober Guard Operation Bear Trap convention set, they added a new character, rather than updating a classic one. So considering Misha got shafted, I decided to give him a modern take.

Formula:

Head: Storm Shadow v33
Glasses: Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade Dr. Henry Jones
Upper body and upper legs: Dusty v12
Lower legs: Specialist Dusty v1
Hat: Sgt. Misha Zubenkov v1
Everything else: Marauder Task Force

Paints used: Citadel, Model Master

Thanks for looking.

J-Bone (Johnny Mnemonic)

I really enjoy adding characters from other franchises to my Multiverse. Seeing as how in the 30+ years he's been featured in films and television shows, I find it quite odd Ice-T has yet to get an action figure of any kind, so I decided to remedy that. Even wrote a full bio for this one, blending his real life persona with this particular fictional one and expanding upon it to make him a Cobra agent. To give the head some character, I gave him the markings from the movie with a Micron .005 pen.

Formula:

Head: Burn Out v2
Everything else: Marauder Task Force
Cobra Sigil: Bad Mother Tattoos and Customs
Paints used: NONE!

Thanks for looking.

Backblast

Backblast was initially released in 1989 by Hasbro, and oddly enough, never got a modern update despite having 4 releases in the original line. The character had a very unique look for the time, as it wasn't a common thing for GI Joe members to go out into combat wearing a T-shirt (Salvo and later figures would change this). I went with almost strictly Marauder Task Force parts for this build, and actually had to modify the lower torso to fit the upper body. The equation on his leg was done by hand using a Micron .005 pen.

Formula:

Entire figure, harness, bandolier: Marauder Task Force
Helmet: Custom cast from AVAC'S Lab
Knife and sheath: Fodder box
Monocular and Missile Launcher System: Backblast v1
Go Army decal: Bad Mother Tattoos and Customs

Paints used: NONE!

Thanks for looking.

Black Major (Action Force)

Recently, a few of you have asked, "Why so many Action Force customs?" Well, there's a few reasons for this.

1. A lot of the characters I've done have never been released in modern scale in any format.

2. Army building is fun.

3. A lot of them are fairly easy to do.

Much like Black Major here. First released by Palitoy in the UK in 1983, and then followed up with a convention exclusive in 2010, he's the second in command of the Red Shadows and a former Action Force member. Considering I've got plenty of domestic Cobra troopers and generals, I felt like adding an international flair to my Multiverse, and being the design of this figure was fairly easy, it seemed like a no-brainer.

Formula:

Entire figure and accessories: Marauder Task Force
Red Shadows decal: Bad Mother Tattoos and Customs

Paints used: NONE!
