The Fridge

Back in 1987, Hasbro ran a promotion in which if you collected and mailed in 5 inserts, you could get a free (plus shipping and handling, please allow 6-8 weeks for delivery, ask your parents) William "The Refrigerator" Perry action figure. This was Hasbro's second attempt at a G.I. Joe figure based on a real person, the first being professional wrestler Sgt. Slaughter back in 1986. Unlike Slaughter, The Fridge didn't become a part of G.I. Joe lore or continuity in the animated series or comics, but it may have been interesting to see. Possibly for legal reasons, The color of Fridge's jersey was slightly altered from his Chicago Bears colors to a paler blue with red highlights, I've corrected that here. I've also added a fully functional flail for him, as opposed to Hasbro's original football on a stick.

Formula:

Head and Torso: Custom cast from TheAngelForge
Arms: Marvel Universe Ares
Legs: Marvel Universe Cable, hip pads sculpted with Green Stuff
Football Flail: Custom cast from AVAC'S LAB, modded with parts from Boss Fight Studios
Helmet: Starting Lineup

Paints used: Citadel, Model Master.

Thanks for looking.

Mike Tyson (Mike Tyson's Mysteries)

Yet another odd addition to my Multiverse, I'm a huge fan of the show on Adult Swim, and felt it warranted a place in my collection. Toughest part with this one was getting the hair and eyes right, I may have gone through about 6 attempts before getting Iron Mike somewhat presentable.

Formula:

Head: Custom cast from AVAC'S Lab
Boxing gloves: Custom Cast from RaginSpoon
Pigeon: Mayberry Street Miniatures
Face tattoo and logo: Bad Mother Tattoos and Customs
Body: RoC Night Adder

Paints used: Citadel, Model Master

Thanks for looking.

Dreadnok Gator Raider

Much like its driver Death Metal, the Dreadnok Gator Raider was released in 2015 at the New Jersey Comic Con, and limited to 40 pieces. Rather than simply repainting a Water Moccasin, I went with a bigger boat, and had originally designed this in mind as a vehicle for Zanzibar.

Formula:

Boat: Adventure Force
Cannon: Cobra Venom Cycle
Grape Soda: Custom cast from AVAC'S Lab
Decals: Custom sheet from ToyHax.com

Paints used: Tamiya, Rust-Oleum, Citadel

Thanks for looking.

Rampart (Fix-Up)

Not so much a custom as it is a fix-up, I like to have functional accessories and gear on my figures when possible. And being we only saw Rampart without his head gear once in the DiC cartoon series (yes, I actually checked), he's never really been seen aside from that without his head gear.

Formula:

Hat: Custom cast from AVAC'S Lab
Head: Marauder Task Force
Everything else: FSS Rampart

Paints used: Citadel, Model Master. Netting texture created with a Micron .005 pen.

Thanks for looking.

Skystriker (Tiger Force)

First released in 1988 as part of the Tiger Force sub-team, Skystriker was a "Frankenfigure", meaning he used existing parts from 2 other figures to create a new one (Wild Weasel and Ripcord, respectively). When he was released again in 2015 as part of the convention set, he was, once again a "Frankenfigure", this time made up of parts from Tripwire, Snow Job, and Sgt. Airborne, and looked even less like his original incarnation. What I did here was try to get him to look closer to his first design, and added the removable helmet which the newer version lacked. Tiger stripes created with the use of a Micron .005 pen.

Formula:

Head: Duke v38
Body: Wild Weasel v6
Helmet: Custom cast from AVAC'S Lab
Pistol: Fodder bag

Paints used: Citadel, Model Master

Thanks for looking.
